Lil Durk represents an entire generation of Chicago’s South Side with a journey that’s raised him from underground rap reverence to the modern elite of mainstream hip-hop. Breaking out during the Chicago drill movement in the early 2010s, Lil Durk first grabbed ears with his 2011 single “Sneak Dissin'” and subsequent full-length mixtape releases like 2012’s Life Ain’t No Joke and the first two installments of his Signed to the Streets series.
